Welcome to APDW 2026 Manila

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Philippine Society of Gastroenterology, the Philippine Society of Digestive Endoscopy, and the Hepatology Society of the Philippines, it is my distinct honour and privilege to welcome you to the Asian Pacific Digestive Week 2026 — coming home to Manila.

APDW 2026 marks a proud milestone for the Philippines. For the first time in APDW history, three Philippine medical societies have united to co-host this prestigious congress — bringing together gastroenterology, hepatology, and digestive endoscopy under one roof, and one shared mission. This unprecedented collaboration reflects not only the strength and maturity of our local medical community, but our collective ambition to lead digestive medicine across the Asia-Pacific.

The Philippines last hosted APDW in 2009. Much has changed since then — in our science, our technology, and our region. The burden of digestive disease continues to grow across Asia-Pacific, and the urgency for advances in clinical practice, translational research, and multidisciplinary care has never been greater. APDW 2026 Manila answers that call.

Our scientific programme — themed "Advancing Practice in Digestive Wellness in Asia-Pacific" — brings together world-class faculty across five days of plenary lectures, focused symposia, hands-on endoscopy workshops, live demonstrations, and a competitive abstract programme. Whether you are an established clinician, an emerging researcher, a trainee, or an industry partner, there is a place for you here.

And of course, there is Manila itself. Our city offers the warmth, energy, and hospitality that only the Philippines can provide — a congress experience that is as enriching personally as it is professionally.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Philippine International Convention Center from 24 to 28 November 2026.

You GUT to Be Here!

What is APDW?

The Asian Pacific Digestive Week (APDW) is the region's most prestigious annual congress dedicated to advances in gastroenterology, hepatology, digestive endoscopy, and digestive surgery. Held every year in a major Asia-Pacific city, APDW brings together leading clinicians, researchers, and innovators from over 30 countries to share knowledge, drive discovery, and improve patient outcomes across the region.

APDW 2026 returns to Manila — a city with deep roots in digestive health leadership, having last hosted the congress in 2009. This edition marks a significant milestone: for the first time, three Philippine medical societies jointly host APDW, uniting the Philippine Society of Gastroenterology (PSG), the Philippine Society of Digestive Endoscopy (PSDE), and the Hepatology Society of the Philippines (HSP) under one shared vision.
