GENERAL INFORMATION
We are delighted to welcome delegates from across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond to APDW 2026 Manila. To assist with your travel planning, we have compiled essential information on entry requirements, local transportation, weather, currency, and other practical matters. We hope this guide helps ensure a comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable stay in the Philippines.
The Philippines operates on Philippine Standard Time (PHT), which is GMT+8 (UTC+8) year-round. The country does not observe daylight saving time.
All international visitors must possess a valid passport to enter the Philippines. Passports should be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the intended period of stay.
Citizens of many countries may enter the Philippines without a visa for short-term visits; however, visa requirements vary depending on nationality. Delegates are advised to check the latest entry requirements with the nearest Philippine Embassy or Consulate prior to travel.

November marks the beginning of the cooler and drier season in Manila. Temperatures typically range from 24°C to 32°C, with generally warm and humid conditions. While occasional showers may occur, rainfall is usually limited.
Business attire is appropriate for congress sessions and official functions. Light, breathable clothing is recommended for outdoor activities,
while a light jacket or sweater may be useful in air-conditioned venues.
The official currency of the Philippines is the Philippine Peso (PHP), denoted by the symbol ₱.
Major international credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and JCB, are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants, shopping centers, and many retail establishments. Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) are readily available throughout Metro Manila.
Currency exchange services are available at airports, banks, hotels, and authorized foreign exchange centers.
Electricity in the Philippines is supplied at 220 volts, 60 Hz. Power outlets commonly use Type A plugs. International delegates are advised to bring appropriate travel adapters and voltage converters for their electronic devices if required.
Filipino and English are the official languages of the Philippines. English is widely spoken and used in business, education, tourism, and
healthcare settings, making communication convenient for international visitors.
The Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) is conveniently located within Manila's cultural and convention district and is easily
accessible from major hotels, Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), and key business districts such as Makati and Bonifacio Global City.
Ride-hailing services, including Grab, are widely available and recommended for convenient travel around Metro Manila. Taxis, hotel transport
services, and private car transfers are also readily accessible.
