Professor Lubna Kamani is a distinguished gastroenterologist and academic leader in Pakistan. She serves as Director of the Gastroenterology Residency Program at Liaquat National Hospital, Karachi, and as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Aga Khan University Hospital. She is the President of the Pak GI & Liver Diseases Society and contributes internationally as a member of the APAGE Women and Leadership Committee and the WGO Education & MACE Committee. She also co-chairs the Women in Hepatology Forum of the South Asian Association for the Study of the Liver (SAASL). Her leadership and advocacy for women in medicine have been recognized through several prestigious honors, including the Healio Women Disruptor Award 2023, ACG Vancouver, Women Health Hero Award 2023, SCOPY Award 2025, ACG Pheonix and Impactful Health Leader Award 2025, Medical Women Association Pakistan.
