Dr. Cosmas Rinaldi A. Lesmana

Dr. Cosmas Rinaldi A. Lesmana is a Senior Lecturer and Senior Consultant in the Hepatobiliary Division, Department of Internal Medicine, at Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital, Medical Faculty Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta. He also serves as a Senior Consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Digestive Disease & GI Oncology Centre, Medistra Hospital, Jakarta — a leading private referral center for hepatopancreatobiliary disorders — and as Chief Coordinator of the Liver GI Center at Mochtar Riyadi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Siloam Semanggi Hospital, Jakarta. He is widely recognized as an expert in advanced interventional endoscopy, including ERCP and EUS.

Dr. Lesmana completed his medical training at Diponegoro University, Semarang, and his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology/Hepatology at Universitas Indonesia. He has pursued further specialized training internationally, including basic and advanced endoscopy at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, Hyderabad, hepatology training in Bordeaux, France, portal hypertension training in New Delhi, and EUS training in Mumbai, India.

He is a Past Executive Council Member of the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL), a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), and a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG) and currently serves as a member of the Asian EUS Group (AEG), where he has been active as a workshop instructor in basic and interventional EUS. He has authored numerous publications in international peer-reviewed journals on liver and pancreatobiliary disorders and endoscopy and has received multiple awards for his research in liver disease.
