Dr. Nazish Butt

Dr. Nazish Butt is a dedicated Associate Professor and Head of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre in Karachi, Pakistan. She leads the gastroenterology section and supervises the GI Residency program, championing the development of future physicians as the pioneer of the gastroenterology Residency program at a public-sector hospital in Sindh province. Her leadership inspires confidence and respect among her colleagues and the broader medical community.

Dr. Butt is the Chair of the World Gastroenterology Organization Endoscopy Committee and Governing Council, Co-Chair of the ACG Webinar Committee, and Member of the WGO Hepatology Committee. She is an executive member of the Pakistan Society of Gastroenterology and GI Endoscopy. She was recently awarded the Impactful Health Leader Award by the Medical Women Association of Pakistan. Dr. Butt’s passion is reflected in her numerous publications in both national and international journals.
