Dr. Rona Lawenko

Dr. Rona Lawenko is a Gastroenterologist from the Philippines with a strong interest in disorders of gut-brain interaction and GI motility. She is a Board Member of the Philippine Society of Gastroenterology, previously led its National Council on Functional GI Disorders, and serves on the Rome Foundation Rome Partners List Serv Committee — a global community advancing care of patients with DGBI worldwide.

At De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute, she is Training Officer of the GI Fellowship Program and Assistant Professor — educator, researcher and mentor. Outside medicine, she is a wife to a surgeon and mom of two — her most rewarding challenge yet.
