Dr. Ryan Ponnudurai

Dr. Ryan Ponnudurai is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Prince Court Medical Centre, Malaysia. He graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1991, before completing his residency in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Ohio, and a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Scripps Clinic & Research Foundation, USA, where he was named Chief Fellow and received the Tom Waltz Award.

He is board certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Gastroenterology and went on to complete advanced fellowships in endoscopy at Wellesley Hospital, Toronto, and in endoscopic ultrasound in Hamburg, Germany.

Dr. Ponnudurai is the Founder and Chairman of the GI Taskforce – Asia Pacific Society, an Honorary Member of the Thailand Association of Gastroenterology, and a member of the Malaysian National Specialist Registry Committee for Gastroenterology & Hepatology. He has been invited faculty at more than 120 international live endoscopy workshops, including Euro-EUS and the World Congress of Endoscopy, and received the Star of Excellence Award in Coimbatore, India, in 2010.
