Dr. Than Than Aye (M.B., B.S, M.Med.Sc(Internal Medicine), M.R.C.P(UK), Dr Med.Sc(Gastroenterology), F.R.C.P(Edinburgh), Dip.Med. Edu) is the Professor & Head of Gastroenterology Department at Yangon General Hospital and University of Medicine (1), Yangon. She serves as the President of the Myanmar GI & Liver Society and also a director of Myanmar WGO Training Center. She was trained advanced endoscopy under Dr. Nageshwar Reddy at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (Hyderabad, India) and Prof. K.L. Goh at the University of Malaya (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia).

Her interests are therapeutic ERCP and cholangioscopy. EMR and ESD, H pylori, Gastric cancer, Inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer screening. She is the leading member of Management of H.pylori infection in Myanmar- National Guideline and consensus member of Management of H.pylori in ASEAN – The updated Bangkok Consensus II.
