Dr. Yohei Minato

Yohei Minato, MD, PhD, is Chief Physician in the Department of Gastroenterology at NTT Medical Center Tokyo, Japan. After graduating from Kagoshima University School of Medicine, Dr. Minato completed advanced training in gastroenterology in Japan. From 2016 to 2018, he served as Senior Consultant at Danderyd Hospital, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden, where he played a key role in establishing the endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) program.

Dr. Minato's research focuses on advanced therapeutic endoscopy, particularly endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), endoscopic suturing, defect closure, and the management of gastrointestinal neoplasms. He has received several national and international awards and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy.
