Prof. Estrellita J. Ruiz is an accomplished Filipino gastroenterologist, medical educator, and hospital administrator with a strong interest in nutrition and digestive health. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Santo Tomas and completed her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology at Santo Tomas University Hospital.

A Diplomate of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, Dr. Ruiz has held key academic and leadership positions, including Assistant Dean of the UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Chief of Gastroenterology at UST Hospital, and Chief of Clinics at De Los Santos Medical Center. She has served the Philippine Society of Gastroenterology as Secretary and Chairman of its Specialty Board. She has professionally contributed to integrating nutrition into comprehensive care of patients with gastrointestinal and other medical conditions.
