Prof. Purnima Bhat is a physician-scientist at the Canberra Hospital and at the Australian National University. She is the Chair of the World Endoscopy Organisation Global Outreach Committee, and the Chair of the GESA Remote, Regional and Indigenous Committee. She serves on the Editorial Board of the Scandinavian Journal of Gastroenterology. Her wet-lab at the ANU examines fundamental research questions in gut-liver axis, and colon cancer.
