Prof. Shomei Ryozawa

Professor Shomei Ryozawa is the chairman of Department of Gastroenterology and director of Endoscopy Center of Saitama Medical University International Medical Center. Dr. Ryozawa graduated from Yamaguchi University in 1991 and took his PhD in 1997.

He has worked at Hamburg University and learned advanced endoscopic procedures from Prof. Nib Soehendra from 2000 to 2001. Professor Ryozawa is an expert in ERCP and Interventional EUS, and has been invited for many international meetings and live demonstrations. He is assigned as the Board of Directors of Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society (JGES).
