WEBSITE TERMS OF USE

A1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the APDW 2026 Manila website (www.apdw2026manila.com) (“the Website”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the Website.

A2. Website Operator

The Website is operated by the APDW 2026 Local Organising Committee (LOC), comprising the Philippine Society of Gastroenterology (PSG), the Philippine Society of Digestive Endoscopy (PSDE), and the Hepatology Society of the Philippines (HSP), with operational support from Wizlink Consulting (Singapore) as the appointed Professional Congress Organiser (PCO).

A3. Intellectual Property

  • All content on the Website — including but not limited to text, images, graphics, logos, trademarks, design elements, page layouts, and downloadable materials — is the intellectual property of the APDW 2026 LOC, the APDW Foundation, or their respective licensors. All rights are reserved.
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from this Website without prior written permission from the LOC.
  • The APDW name, logo, and event branding are trademarks of the APDW Foundation and may not be used without express authorisation.

A4. Website Content & Disclaimers

  • The LOC makes reasonable efforts to ensure that the information on the Website is accurate and up to date. However, the Website content is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • The LOC reserves the right to modify, update, or remove any Website content at any time without prior notice. This includes changes to the congress programme, speaker line-up, session timings, venue arrangements, and registration fees.
  • Medical or scientific information presented on the Website is for educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. Attendees should exercise their own professional judgement in applying any information gained from the Congress.

A5. Third-Party Links

The Website may contain links to third-party websites, including those of sponsors, exhibitors, partner organisations, travel service providers, and hotel booking platforms. These links are provided for convenience only. The LOC does not endorse, control, or accept responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party websites.

A6. Website Availability

The LOC does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Website and shall not be liable for any temporary or permanent unavailability due to technical issues, maintenance, or circumstances beyond our control.

A7. Governing Law (Website)

These Website Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from the use of the Website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines.

DELEGATE REGISTRATION TERMS

B1. Registration & Confirmation

  • Registration for APDW 2026 Manila is conducted online through the official registration portal. By completing registration and submitting payment, you enter into a binding agreement with the LOC to attend the Congress subject to these Terms & Conditions.
  • A registration is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and issuance of a confirmation email with a unique registration number. The LOC reserves the right to refuse or cancel any registration at its sole discretion.

B2. Registration Fees & Payment

All registration fees are quoted in United States Dollars (USD). Fees are as published on the Website and are subject to the applicable pricing period (Early Bird, Regular, or On-Site rates).

    

  • Payment is accepted via credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through Stripe. Bank transfer is not available.     
  • All transactions are processed securely with SSL encryption.     
  • Registration fees include access to the Main Congress (26–28 November 2026), congress collaterals, and designated networking events, as described on the Website.
  • The Post-Graduate Course (25 November 2026) requires an additional fee and is available as a bundle add-on for Delegate and Trainee categories only.      
  • The LOC reserves the right to modify registration fees at any time. Any changes will not affect registrations already confirmed and paid.

Delegates are responsible for any applicable taxes, bank charges, or currency conversion fees. Fees are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

B3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

All cancellation requests must be submittedin writing to info@apdw2026manila.com. The following refund schedule applies based on the date the written cancellation is received:

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 30 days of approval.

B4. Substitution Policy

Delegate substitutions (transferring your registration to a colleague) are accepted at no additional charge, provided that:


  • The substitution request is submitted in writing to info@apdw2026manila.com at least 5 business days before the Congress
  • The substitute delegate is registered in the same registration category
  • All relevant personal data for the new delegate is provided

The original registrant remains responsible for any outstanding fees until the substitution is confirmed.

B5. Congress Programme Changes

The LOC reserves the right to alter the congress programme, including session topics, speakers, timings, and venue room allocations, at any time and without prior notice. Such changes do not entitle delegates to a refund or compensation.

In the event of a speaker cancellation, the LOC will make reasonable efforts to secure a suitable replacement but does not guarantee this.

B6. Code of Conduct

All delegates, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and attendees are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully throughout the Congress. The LOC reserves the right to deny entry to or remove any individual whose behaviour is deemed disruptive, offensive, or in violation of applicable laws, without refund.

Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, unwelcome verbal or physical conduct related to race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or national origin.


Delegates must comply with all venue regulations, Philippine laws, and the rules of the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

B7. Photography, Video & Recording

The Congress will be photographed and video-recorded for official documentation, promotional, educational, and archival purposes. By attending the Congress, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded, and to the use of such images or recordings by the LOC, APDW Foundation, and affiliated organisations without compensation.


If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, you may request a “No Photo” designation at the registration desk, which will be indicated on your name badge. While the LOC will make reasonable efforts to honour this preference, it cannot guarantee complete exclusion from all photographs or video recordings, particularly in large group settings.


Unauthorised audio or video recording of scientific sessions, lectures, or presentations is strictly prohibited unless expressly permitted by the session chair and the presenting speaker. Delegates may not photograph or reproduce presentation slides without the speaker’s explicit consent.

B8. Liability & Indemnity

The LOC, its constituent societies, the APDW Foundation, the PCO, and their respective officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

  • Any personal injury, illness, death, loss, or damage to property arising from attendance at the Congress, except where caused by the LOC’s gross negligence or wilful misconduct.     
  • Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings or property brought to the Congress venue    
  • Any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from participation in the Congress    
  • Failure of technology, internet connectivity, or audio-visual systems during the Congress

Delegates attend the Congress at their own risk and are strongly advised to obtain appropriate travel and health insurance for the duration of their stay in the Philippines.

B9. Medical Disclaimer

The scientific content presented at APDW 2026 Manila is intended for educational purposes and reflects the views and opinions of individual speakers and authors. It does not constitute medical advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional medical judgement.


The LOC and APDW Foundation do not endorse or assume responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or clinical applicability of any information presented at the Congress.

B10. Force Majeure

The LOC shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these Terms where such failure results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, epidemics or pandemics, government restrictions, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, fire, flood, or failure of critical infrastructure.


In the event the Congress is cancelled, postponed, or materially altered due to force majeure, the LOC will make reasonable efforts to offer alternatives (such as rescheduled dates or virtual participation). Refund arrangements will be determined on a case-by-case basis and communicated to registered delegates

B11. Data Protection

The collection and processing of personal data in connection with registration is governed by the APDW 2026 Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms & Conditions. By registering, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

B12. General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms & Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy and any specific terms displayed during the registration process, constitute the entire agreement between you and the LOC regarding your participation in the Congress.
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
  • Waiver: No failure or delay by the LOC in exercising any right shall operate as a waiver of that right.
  • Assignment: Your registration is personal and may not be assigned or transferred except through the substitution process described in Section B4.

B13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from or related to your registration or attendance at the Congress shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Metro Manila, Philippines.
