Andrew Q. Giap, MD, FASGE, is Regional Chief of Gastroenterology for Southern California Permanente Medical Group and Chief of Gastroenterology for Kaiser Permanente Orange County, California, USA. He completed his medical training, internal medicine residency, and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of California, Irvine, with advanced training in EUS and ERCP.
Dr. Giap is an internationally recognized expert in advanced endoscopy, specializing in endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, and therapeutic endoscopy. He has led the development and expansion of advanced endoscopy services across Southern California and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in pancreaticobiliary diseases, pancreatic cysts, and advanced endoscopic interventions.
A dedicated educator, Dr. Giap is a frequently invited faculty member at international endoscopy meetings and live endoscopy courses. He is a Fellow of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (FASGE) and an ASGE Ambassador to Vietnam.
