Dr. Jong Ho Moon is Professor of Medicine and Director of the Digestive Disease Center at SoonChunHyang University School of Medicine in Bucheon/Seoul, Korea, specializing in gastroenterology and bilio-pancreatic disease. He obtained his MD and PhD from SoonChunHyang University School of Medicine, completed his gastroenterology fellowship there, and served as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle, in 2005.
His main research interests lie in the therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopy of the biliary tract and pancreas, endoscopic stenting, and endoscopic ultrasound (including EUS-guided intervention and intraductal ultrasound). He is an International Member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society, and has served as Co-Editor of Endoscopy International Open since 2014.
Dr. Moon has authored over 250 international and 280 domestic journal publications, including representative work on ERCP and peroral cholangioscopy published in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Gastroenterology. A sought-after international speaker, he has been an invited faculty member, live endoscopy demonstrator, and course director at numerous major meetings, including Digestive Disease Week (DDW), the United European Gastroenterology Week (UEGW), and the International Symposium on Pancreatic & Biliary Endoscopy.
