Dr. Sakkarin Chirapongsathorn is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist, researcher, and Associate Professor at Phramongkutklao College of Medicine (PMK), Bangkok, Thailand. He obtained a medical degree in 2005. Following his training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology in Thailand, he joined the clinical research fellowship program at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, USA from 2014 to 2016 and graduate Master’s degree in Clinical Translational and Science at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in 2016 focused on area of steatotic liver diseases and complications of cirrhosis mentorship by Professors Patrick S Kamath and Vijay Shah at Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. His research interests include MASH and complications of cirrhosis.
