APDW 2026 Presentation Guidelines

Presenting authors are requested to carefully review the guidelines applicable to their presentation category and comply with the requirements below.

All presenting authors must be registered for APDW 2026 and present in person. Please refer to your official acceptance notification and the final Congress programme for your assigned presentation date, time, and venue.

Presentation Categories

OVERVIEW

Accepted abstracts selected for oral presentation will be presented during designated scientific sessions. All oral presenters are required to be in Manila to deliver their presentations in person.

PRESENTATION PREPARATION
  • Presentations must be prepared in Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx) format using the official APDW 2026 Oral Presentation Template.
  • Slides should be prepared in 16:9 widescreen format.
  • Presenters should include a Conflict of Interest/Disclosure slide at the beginning of the presentation. If there are no relevant conflicts of interest to declare, this should be clearly stated.
  • Presentations should cover the key aspects of the study, including the Background/Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
  • Slides should be clear and concise, with sufficiently large fonts and legible figures, tables, and graphs.
  • Videos and other media should be embedded within the PowerPoint presentation.
  • Presenters using videos are advised to retain the original video files as a backup.
AT THE CONGRESS

All oral presenters are required to check in at the Speaker Preparation Room at least 2 hours before their scheduled session to upload and review their final presentation and ensure that all presentation materials are in order.

PRESENTERS SHOULD ALSO:
  • Bring a backup copy of the presentation on a USB flash drive.
  • Ensure that presentations are in Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx) format. Keynote users must export their presentation to PowerPoint format prior to uploading.
  • Note that personal laptops will not be permitted for presentations in the session rooms.
SESSION ROOM SET-UP
  • Each session room will be equipped with a screen, podium microphone, and laptop. Presenters will be able to control their presentations from the podium.
  • Presenters should arrive at the assigned session room at least 10 minutes before the session begins and introduce themselves to the Moderator/Session Chair.
  • Presenters should sit in the designated reserved seating area at the front of the session room.The Moderator/Session Chair will introduce each speaker prior to the presentation.
  • Presenters must strictly observe the allocated presentation and discussion time.
  • The official Congress language is English, and all presentations must be delivered in English.
OVERVIEW

Accepted posters will be displayed in the designated Poster Area during APDW 2026. Presenting authors are responsible for printing their own posters and bringing them to the Congress. Poster printing will not be provided onsite.

POSTER PREPARATION
  • Posters must be prepared in A0 size (841 mm × 1189 mm), portrait orientation.
  • Presenters should use the official APDW 2026 Poster Template.
  • The abstract title, authors, and affiliations should be clearly displayed.
  • Posters should be clear, concise, and legible from a reasonable viewing distance.
  • Figures, graphs, tables, and images should be of sufficiently high resolution.
  • The content should follow a clear scientific structure, including Background/Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion, where applicable.
  • All patient-identifying information must be removed or appropriately obscured.
POSTER DISPLAY

Each poster will be assigned a Poster Number, corresponding to the designated poster board in the Poster Area. Presenting authors are responsible for mounting their posters on the assigned poster boards and removing them at the designated times.

  • Posters should be displayed from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on the assigned presentation day.
  • Posters remaining on display after 4:00 PM will be removed by the Local Organizing Committee.
  • Mounting pins will be provided onsite in the Poster Area.
POSTER DISCUSSION

Presenting authors are encouraged to be available at their posters during the designated lunch breaks to discuss their work with delegates.

OVERVIEW

Selected high-scoring abstracts have been shortlisted as finalists for the APDWF Posters of Distinction Award and invited to present during the Moderated Poster Sessions.

Moderated Poster presenters are required to prepare both an A0 printed poster for display in the Poster Area and a brief oral presentation for the Moderated Poster Session.

The Moderated Poster Sessions will be held in a designated presentation area within the Exhibition Hall, near the Poster Area. Presentations will be displayed on a screen during the session.

Presenters must strictly adhere to the allocated presentation time, as this is a fast-paced session. The questions and discussion are an important component of the assessment and will contribute to the selection of the Posters of Distinction.
POSTER AND PRESENTATION PREPARATION
1. PRINTED POSTER
The official APDW 2026 Poster Template must be used to prepare an A0 poster in portrait orientation for display on the assigned poster board in the Poster Area.
2. MODERATED POSTER ORAL PRESENTATION
The official APDW 2026 Moderated Poster Oral Presentation Template must be used to prepare the 2-minute oral presentation.
  • Both templates must be used in their prescribed format. Presenters may adjust the content within the templates as necessary to accurately present their work, but the required template structure and specifications should be retained.
  • The oral presentation must be based solely on the content of the printed poster. New or additional information that is not included in the poster should not be introduced during the oral presentation.
  • The presentation should focus on the study objective, principal findings, conclusions, and clinical or scientific relevance.
  • Presentations should be clear and concise, with legible figures, tables, and graphs.
AT THE CONGRESS

  • Presenters must remain for the full duration of their assigned Moderated Poster Session.
  • Presenters must strictly observe the allocated 2-minute presentation and 3-minute questions and discussion.
  • The official Congress language is English, and all presentations must be delivered in English.
