Prof. Rungsun Rerknimitr, M.D., FASGE

Professor Rungsun Rerknimitr is a leading gastroenterologist, medical innovator, and academic leader at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. He serves as Vice President of Chulalongkorn University and Professor of Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine. Internationally recognized for his expertise in gastrointestinal endoscopy, therapeutic ERCP, and AI-assisted cancer detection, he has pioneered research and innovation that improve the early diagnosis of gastrointestinal diseases and cancers. He completed advanced training in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and ERCP in the United States and has published extensively in leading international journals.



Professor Rerknimitr has received numerous national and international awards, including recognition for outstanding contributions to medical research, education, and innovation. His current work focuses on translating cutting-edge research into real-world healthcare solutions, fostering medical entrepreneurship, and building global academic partnerships. Through his leadership, he continues to strengthen the integration of medicine, technology, and innovation to create meaningful impact for patients, healthcare systems, and society.
