Dr. Vu Van Khien (MD, PhD) is Secretary General and Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Gastroenterology (VNAGE), Vice President of the Vietnam Federation for Digestive Endoscopy (VFDE), Vice President of the Vietnam Association for the Study of Liver Disease (VASLD) and Director of the Department of GI Endoscopy, Thu Cuc International Hospital, Hanoi City, Vietnam.

He obtained the M.D. degree in 1989 and the Ph.D. degree in Gastroenterology in 2000 and Associate Professor 2009. He received the research fellowship of JSGE in 2001. He has published more than 142 papers in Local & International Journals. His interests include GERD, H. pylori, gastrointestinal cancers screening and advanced therapeutics endoscopy. He has received several awards including Young Clinicians Program Award of the Asian Pacific Congress of Gastroenterology in 1996 (Japan), 1998 (Philippines) and 2000 (Hong Kong-China). He is very active in international cooperation with APAGE, APSDE, APASL and Korean scientific associations (IDEN, KASID, KSGE).
